Quarterlight Hinge Pivots

CNC machined from billet 7000 grade aluminium and polished to a mirror shine. We have produced this fabulous kit of parts as so often they are in poor condition and let the finish quality of a restored car down.

The part which fits in the quarterlight frame was originally cast from Mazak so it not possible to re-chrome. We have engineered a much tigher tolerance on the hinging system, as it is usually a sloppy fit here which causes the quarterlight to wobble around when in an open position and result in the button unscrewing. We achieved this by machining a black nylon bush to fit in the part on the outside of the glass and a stainless steel pin to press into the part which fits in the quarter light frame resulting in a tighter fit between the components. We have also cast the rubber top hat which fits through the glass itself.

Rather than using a difficult riveting system for attaching the part to the quarterlight frame, we have tapped the holes so that neat little M3 button head bolts can be used allowing very easy installation of this product.
