We discovered an incredibly original aluminium floor 1600 GTA, with period race history in Finland, fully disassembled yet unrestored, complete of all its parts & set about a total restoration.

PHILOSOPHY

The goal was to restore the bodyshell, assemble & competition prepare the car for historic rally event use. This treads a fine line between originality and the high performance reliability required for historic competition event use.

Car finished in original bianco spino ar013 paint finish with gold and ice blue accents colour matched from original paint found on the bodyshell to honour its past history

Details Matter

Tillet carbon fibre race seats weigh a mere 3kg each and are trimmed in factory correct GTA vinyl ‘skai’ in the style of original GTA Autodelta Competizione seats. Lightweight aluminium replica of Autodelta 90 litre fuel tank manufactured and used as a casing to install a modern aerospace kevar foam filled bag tank for maximum safety. Both these items are examples where we have ingeniously blended modern event FIA safety requirements with period correct appearance.

Chassis setup

Once completed the car was weighed, with this data, spring rates and rollbar diameters are calculated and matched the use of the vehicle to ensure maximum performance whilst retaining optimised ride quality to minimise driver fatigue.

Original Autodelta dashboard refinished in period correct crackle black finish, instruments refurbished and with period correct Autodelta specification black painted bezels. Modern electronic version of famous Jaeger 10,000rpm rev counter ensures correct appearance and maximum accuracy. Original peraluman 25 floors left in bare aluminium with satin polish.
